Have added burst flag to l2fwd kernel module to increase its forwarding performance considerably (around 50% for single core VMs). It makes use of relatively recent (since Linux Kernel 3.18) xmit_more API support added to Linux kernel to delay kicking of the HW device tail pointer until the end of burst. Will follow up with patch/gerrit shortly.
